Malta, May 2019: Ms Olivia Mercieca - Chief Officer Risk and Compliance and Ms Manuela Pulis - Manager Risk Management at IIG Bank (Malta) Ltd, have successfully completed their 'Financial Risk Management in Banks' categorised as a Level 6 qualification by The London Institute of Banking & Finance in London. This qualification provides a critical evaluation of how financial market, credit, and liquidity risks are managed by banks within the current economic and regulatory environment. Ms Pulis, an experienced risk manager for the past 10 years, indicated that the qualification has enabled her to continue developing a good underpinning to risk management. Ms Mercieca, who completed her qualification 'with distinction' said that this qualification has not only supplemented her experience academically, but it has assisted her to better identify, measure and manage a wide variety of risks, as well as better understanding how banks interact with financial markets.
